Power couple behind one of Australia’s most successful fashion labels make huge $40million move

The power couple behind the fashion empire Oroton have put their luxury equine property on the market, with the estate expected to sell for north of $37million.

Tom and Emma Lane have listed their luxury ‘Copperstone’ estate in Bangalow, in the Byron Bay region on the North Coast of NSW, after purchasing the farmland in 2021 for $3million.

Copperstone is the latest accomodation in The Range Estates’ portfolio and boasts 19 hectares of idyllic countryside.

The couple developed the farmland with an admiration for European design and spared no expense on the property’s long-list of luxury features.

The estate includes a wellness centre with a sauna, steam room and ice bath, a tennis court, a pool house for its 25metre mineral pool, a games room, walled gardens, a fire pit and it’s own ‘sandy beach’.

It also boasts stables for the properties horses and an impressive dressage area with a cross-country course and trails to explore on horseback.

The property, which is being sold through Kim Jones & Co real estate agency, is set to break the record for the North Coast region – which was set by another Lanes’ property.

In 2023, the Lanes sold their luxury retreat The Range in the Byron hinterland region for $33.6million.

The power couple also sold their homestead named Wirramirra in Bowral – the largest town in the Southern Highlands of NSW – earlier this year.

The property was renovated and after just eight months sold it for $14.5million to former V8 Supercars driver Paul Weel and his wife Emma.

The Lanes are also planning to flip another property they purchased for $8.3million last year, located next door to Hollywood a-lister Liam Hemsworth.

Tom Lane is the grandson of Boyd Lane the founder of Australian fashion empire Oroton.

Founded in Sydney in 1938, Oroton started as an importer of luxury European textiles and soon transitioned into designer handbags.

In 2018, under creative director Sophie Holt, the brand launched its first full ready-to-wear collections.
