It comes after Charlotte told how her mother Letitia has been diagnosed with breast cancer after attending a routine mammogram.

She was devastated to learn her mum, 53, had cancer just weeks after discovering she was pregnant with her first child.

Charlotte revealed Letitia had no symptoms or lumps and admitted she refused to believe her mother’s diagnosis at first.

Just days after the diagnosis the TV star found her own lump, but was given the all-clear.

Letitia explained: ‘It was just a routine mammogram, I have never missed one. When they told me it was cancer I was floored.’

She added: ‘It was so difficult to tell Charlotte I had cancer. We had all the happy news a couple of months before that she was having the baby.

Charlotte and her family have been a support system for Letitia, who had to undergo four biopsies before surgery to remove her tumour and reconstruct her breast.

Just days after Charlotte learned the news about her mum, she found a lump in her own breast.

She said: ‘I became so much more aware of my own body. And then I found a lump literally just after mum was diagnosed. I went to get it checked out straight away. Luckily it was nothing bad.’

Charlotte explained how she tried to reassure her mother that everything would be fine because she was ‘adamant’ that it wouldn’t be cancer.

The former Geordie Shore star said: ‘When she called and told us it was cancer, I said “No it’s not”. She was like, “No I have been told it is cancer”. But I still didn’t believe it because I was so adamant it could not be that.’

Letitia has now had surgery to remove a tumour and next month she will undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy to rid her body of any remaining cancerous cells.

The mother and daughter now want to launch a campaign to lower to age for routine mammograms for women, which currently don’t begin until the age of 50.

Following the interview, Charlotte also posted about the diagnosis on her Instagram Stories on Friday evening.

While sharing a picture with her mum, Charlotte wrote: ‘Something we have been dealing with behind closed doors for some time now. I wan to first say how much I admire my mam for her bravery and strength.

‘Love you so much mam forever and ever. And secondly she wanted to share her story to help anyone going through the same thing to prompt everyone NOT TO MISS THEIR MAMMOGRAMS!

‘My mams journey is far from over yet we are all taking each day at a time as a family and she’s is the very best hands of our amazing NHS.’

Charlotte is just weeks away from giving birth to her first child with her boyfriend Jake Ankers.

Jake and Charlotte decided to start trying to get pregnant in December last year, not long after they started dating.

Speaking on her Charlotte Crosby Always On podcast, she said: ‘At this age there’s not really wasting any time. January came around and I got my period and it was a really sad day. I just cried, I cried and cried on the toilet. I told Jake and he was really gutted about it.’

The couple then decided to stop trying, realising it was quite soon into their romance to welcome a child, and bought ovulation sticks to refrain from having sex on her fertile days.

But then in February on Valentine’s Day, Charlotte found it strange when she wasn’t in the mood to drink or have sex during a surprise romantic getaway to a swanky London hotel. And then her period was late.

Charlotte recalled: ‘Lo and behold I was pregnant. Obviously I was over the moon but I was shocked and I was scared. I was like “uh oh” and went into this state of panic.

‘Am I gonna be a good mother? My whole body is about to change. My whole life is about to change? Will this change our relationship? My whole freedom’s gone, my life’s gone… All of a sudden I’m freaking out.’
