Pregnant Coleen shares a picture of her three sons

Wayne and Coleen Rooney defiantly reunited as a couple on Christmas Day, to spend the holidays with their three young sons.

And the trio – Kai, eight, Klay, four, and Kit, one – seemed to have had a very merry time when they were pictured at their grandparents’ house the next day.

Flexing their muscles in a humorous tribute to Boxing Day, Wayne’s sporty sons already seemed to be enjoying their presents.

Their biggest boy Kai towered over his younger brothers in red shorts, while the little ones wore blue and green shorts with boxing gloves.

They each pulled a pose with their dukes up, giving a whole new meaning to the day after Christmas dubbed Boxing Day.

It will be their last Christmas as a trio as the Rooney boys are expecting a brother or sister at the start of 2018.

Wayne and Coleen certainly put paid to speculation that it would not be a family Christmas earlier this week when they posed for their first picture as a couple in many months.

Their high-profile marriage was reportedly on the rocks after he was arrested for drink driving when he was behind the wheel of party girl Laura’ Simpson’s car.

Wayne was obviously focused on rebuilding his marriage when he gave an insight into Christmas with his childhood sweetheart and their three sons.

The Everton footballer, 32, and the fashionista, 31, looked happier than ever as they were pictured wearing their wedding rings on in the family photo – which marks the first picture of them together on social media since August 24.

The pair were last snapped together on social media in August 24 on Coleen's feed which paid tribute to Wayne's England career: 'Congratulations on an amazing England career!! We have loved supporting you, We love you and are so proud of you!!!'

Flashing their wedding bands in the snap, the couple – who shared the exact same image on their social media feeds – beamed as they posed in the photo with their boys.

Coleen looked radiant in a black semi-sheer blouse with black denims as their youngest rested on her hip. while her brunette locks cascaded down her back.

She left her accessories to a minimum with a pair of gold hoop earrings, leaving all eyes to be cast on her ring-clad hand.

Wrapping his arm around Coleen’s shoulder, Wayne donned a grey long-sleeved knit for the festive occasion alongside their adorable children and infront of their Christmas-dressed dinner table.

Captioning his snap, Wayne simply wrote: ‘Merry Christmas everyone. Have a great day’, while Coleen shared alongside hers: ‘Christmas 2017!!!’.

Coleen has been seen intermittently with her wedding ring on in months ever since Wayne was arrested for drink driving in party girls Laura Simpson’s car in September.

Since then Coleen and Wayne have reconciled their relationship as the mother claims to be working on their marriage despite the ‘s**t’ situation’.

Insisting she is a ‘strong person’ and doesn’t need people to feel sorry for her, Coleen set the record straight once and for all about her marriage, posting a lengthy statement on social media.

The WAG explained: ‘A few people are probably thinking am stupid for staying in my marriage. I am not stupid, I know my mind and it’s something I want to try and work on.

‘No, I’m not taking Wayne back as he’s never left. Yes, it has been a s**t time, and yes, time was spent apart and I thought my marriage might have been at an end.

Adding: ‘I’m not going to list Wayne’s good qualities as a person as I don’t think he deserves it at this time but one thing is that he is a brilliant dad.

‘He’s made silly and selfish mistakes, some he’s learnt from, some obviously not. However maybe that will change? In life, you don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow.’

Referencing the night of Wayne’s arrest for drink driving, the glamorous WAG appeared to blame the influence of alcohol for his behaviour.

Wayne and Coleen, who are expected to welcome their fourth child in early 2018, have been together since they were both 16 and they went onto marry in 2008.

The pair are set to renew their vows in the new year, according to a report following their reconciliation.

According to The Sun, the couple are planning to reaffirm their love in their favourite holiday hot spot Barbados as Coleen knows ‘deep down’ she has forgiven him.

A source told the paper: ‘To say it’s been a rough ride for both of them in recent months is an understatement. But we’ve been told they plan to renew their wedding vows next summer – maybe in Barbados.

‘We were astonished as Coleen is no fool and a pretty tough cookie. He is just relieved to have another chance.’

In early December, Wayne – who spent his birthday alone –  was pictured doing community service back, following his drink driving scandal.

The law requires him to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and that meant a breakfast time wake-up call and a chauffeured trip in a £60,000 Audi to the community centre for another session of routine maintenance tasks which began at 9.39am.

Meanwhile, Wayne put his martial woes behind him as he pledged a generous £750,000 charity donation, made up of three separate cheques worth £250,000.

The sports star handed them out to Claire House, Merseyside’s Alder Hey children’s hospital and the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to children.

On Friday, the footballer made visits to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool in the good company of Sam Allardyce and the Everton squad.
