Pregnant Emma McVey blames hormones for Gaz Beadle split

They shocked fans when they announced they were expecting a baby together, just a few weeks after reconciling following a break-up this May.

And Emma McVey and Gary ‘Gaz’ Beadle have now discussed their split in an interview with this week’s OK! magazine, confessing that the situation was made worse because Emma was ‘hormonal’ and pregnant at the time.

The couple parted ways after they moved out to Australia for a few months, struggling to make time for each other due to Gaz’s 15-hour days filming TV show Hell’s Kitchen, while Emma was sitting at home alone every day.

When they returned to the UK, Gaz went straight back into the Geordie Shore house, and decided to break things off.

He explained: ‘I’m not very good at talking face to face, but instead of sorting it out, I just kind of ended it and ran away.

‘I shouldn’t have finished it when I did, but I panicked. Instead, I blocked it all out and hid away from it all while filming Geordie Shore.’

Gaz and Emma first began dating in August 2016 and were together for nine months until revealing they had split in May this year, amid claims he had been unfaithful.

Emma was contacted by multiple people on Twitter, who accused Gaz of flirting with other women while filming the MTV show.

The brunette beauty admits that she overreacted after being called a ‘mug’ by strangers, and let loose on social media by accusing him of cheating in a furious rant.

‘I was very hormonal because I was pregnant,’ she explained.

‘I was sent videos of how he was acting on Geordie Shore. I’d never seen him like that because I’ve never watched the show.

‘I couldn’t get my head around what had happened. I got messages saying he’d done this and that. It’s safe to say I lost it with him.’

The pair reconciled shortly after filming for Geordie Shore wrapped and regret not discussing things in person properly sooner.

With the arrival of their first child approaching, Gaz and Emma are united in wanting to provide the best for their little one.

The lovebirds insist the pregnancy has brought them closer together and made them ‘appreciate’ each other properly.

Gaz said: ‘Emma’s carrying my baby. That’s a big, big thing. If we argue then we have to remember that we have a kid together.

‘I appreciate what she’s doing, at the end of the day she’s going through all this. It makes me appreciate her a lot more. ‘

Making the announcement to his 3.3 million followers last month, the ‘party boy’ who once boasted he’d slept with over 100 girls in a year, said he couldn’t wait to become a father.

‘SO SO SO excited to eventually be able to tell you all this…. I AM GOING TO BE A DAD…WE ARE HAVING A BABY…I love kids and literally can’t wait for this new adventure,’ he wrote.

‘Argghhhh literally no words SOOOO HAPPY,’ he continued tagging his partner Emma.

He later posted a cryptic Instagram snap hinting that the sex of his unborn child will be a girl, sharing a snap off himself clad in pink – the colour traditionally associated with newborn baby girls.

Gaz wrote: ‘the colour pink is growing on me’ alongside a series of tongue-in-cheek emojis.

Gaz’s relationship with Emma follows his five year on/off romance with former co-star Charlotte Crosby, which came to an end last summer.

The blonde, 27, quit the MTV reality show in June to escape their toxic relationship – mere weeks after revealing she had suffered an ectopic pregnancy, while Gaz appeared on Ex On The Beach, in April.

The pair ended things when it emerged Gaz had slept with a contestant on the reality show prior to finding out about Charlotte being pregnant – and in hospital.
