Pregnant teen found weeks after she vanished with cousin

US Marshals have located a pregnant 14 -year-old girl who has been missing for more than two weeks and arrested her fugitive cousin who is believed to be the father of her chid.

Annalys Clay, of Barberton, who was last seen around midnight on December 4, was discovered at the scene of two-car collision on Interstate 480 near Graydon Road on Thursday.

The expectant teen mom and her cousin, 33-year-old Louis Jakab, tried to flee on foot into the nearby woods, but police officers arrested the man.

US Marshal Pete Elliott said the man was in possession of a toy gun when he was taken into custody, reported WKYC. Meanwhile, Clay was taken to Fairview Hospital for evaluation.

Jakab was wanted on charges of parole violation, interference with custody, robbery, theft, fraud, passing bad checks and receiving stolen property, according to a Cleveland.com report.

His criminal record, which dates back to 2003, includes a conviction for a manslaughter involving a shooting, which had sent him to prison for 10 years.

According to multiple reports, Clay and Jakab had a sexual relationship in October, at which time he possibly impregnated the girl, who is the daughter of the man’s first cousin.

Federal officials said the pair ran off together on the night of December 3, travelling in a 2017 black Audi A3 to Virginia, where they were spotted on Monday, and then to Pennsylvania, before returning to Northeast Ohio for the holidays.

Elliott told reporters the runaways were sighted on Thursday at the Denny’s eatery on West 150th Street in Cleveland, and police were altered.

Officers from multiple agencies went in pursuit of the pair until Jakab crashed the Audio into another vehicle, eventually leading to his arrest.

Clay’s mother, 36-year-old Helenea clay, was arrested earlier this month for allegedly filing a false police report.

The woman initially told the authorities that her daughter assaulted her while she was driving her car, then jumped out of the car and was whisked away by her cousin, Louis Jakab.
