A pregnant woman and her unborn baby have both died shortly after being bitten by a snake in a backyard.
The 27-year-old heavily pregnant woman suffered a heart attack as paramedics arrived at the Meekatharra house, 773 kilometres north-west of Perth, on Monday night.
The woman was 31 weeks pregnant as she was rushed to Meekatharra Hospital before dying shortly after, ABC News reported.

The doctors were unable to save the unborn baby.
It is believed the mother-to-be was bitten outside her home on Main Street.
‘We haven’t yet confirmed it was a snake bite,’ Meekatharra Police Acting Inspector Dabid Hornsby told WA Today.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
The woman was 31 weeks pregnant as she was rushed to Meekatharra Hospital (pictured) before dying shortly after, however it is not yet known if the snake bite caused her death
