A versatile defensive-midfielder who can also operate at full-back, Tufan spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Alanyaspor and will now be looking to make a name for himself in England.

Tufan becomes Watford’s third midfield signing of the summer having also signed Juraj Kucka from Parma and Peter Etebo from Stoke, respectively.

Xisco Mundoz has also added former Tottenham left back Danny Rose to his squad with the hope avoiding the drop this season.

Imran Louza, Emmanuel Dennis, Mattie Pollock, Kwadwo Baah, Joshua King and Ashley Fletcher have all also made the switch to Watford this summer

The Hornets marked their return to the Premier League with a win over Aston Villa at Vicarage Road last Saturday.

Goals from Emmanuel Bonaventure, Ismaila Sarr and Cucho Hernandez were enough to seal the victory.

They travel to Brighton this weekend and will be looking to make it back-to-back victories.
