WAGs reality TV show Married To The Game is reportedly set to return for a second series.

According to The Sun, Prime Video has agreed to a second series of the fly-on-the-wall show which follows the partners of some of the best footballers, after ITV axed their own version.

Married To The Game revolves around spouses and partners of certain English Premiere League stars, shedding light on their lives beyond the pitch.

Season one premiered on February 23 and the cast included the likes of Sara Gündoğan, Cat Harding, Samantha Tarkowski, Ash Turner, Taylor Ward, and more.

However, it is unknown whether any of them will be starring in the second series.

A source told The Sun: ‘Ever since the fictitious Footballers’ Wives, TV has been obsessed with the life of our Wags and never more so than when interest peaks around an international tournament.’

‘ITV weren’t able to go ahead with their plans but Prime Video were more than happy to capitalise on the football fever that will follow the Euros.’

‘The new series will follow some of the fan favourites from series one of Married To The Game and planning is underway now.’

The news comes after a planned ITV show about dating players, which was to have featured Lauryn Goodman, 33, got axed, according to The Sun.

The influencer, 33, flew out to Germany to cheer on Kyle Walker, 34,, the father of her two children, last Thursday, while his wife Annie Kilner also supported from the stands

Riyad Mahrez’s, 33, ex-wife Rita was also going to star in the show, the publication claims.

MailOnline has contacted Prime Video and ITV for comment.

The news comes after Riyad’s wife Taylor, 26, revealed earlier this year what she really thinks about living in Saudi Arabia.

The couple recently moved there after Riyad finalised a lucrative contract with Saudi Arabian football club Al Ahli.

Taylor – the daughter of TV personality Dawn Ward – was seen breaking down in tears over the move as she starred in Married To The Game.

And earlier this year she gave an update on how life is going abroad as she appeared on Lorraine alongside fellow WAG Cat Harding – whose partner is Arsenal’s Jorginho.

On the show she said: ‘You see me in tears on the show but I have warmed to it now and I am quite enjoying it.’

‘You have no time to process the news and the next thing you know you’re on a flight with no house and living in a hotel.’

‘I’d just started a business with my sister. You have a full plan and then the next thing it’s pulled from under you.’

She added of her business plans: ‘Riyad was very supportive of me doing it but he was like ”that’s your thing and not mine”.’

Taylor was seen breaking down in tears on the show as she revealed Riyad told her over the phone they were moving to Saudi Arabia.

The programme which is now on Prime Video, reveals what it is really like to be married to a sportsman.

In one teaser for the show released in February, Taylor sobbed, before she revealed: ‘Riyad rang me and basically told me we are moving to Saudi.’

Opening up to the former Manchester City player she said: ‘I’m going to be sat at home on my own,’ as Riyad responded: ‘It’s part of the game innit’.

Taylor, Riyad, and the couple’s daughter Mila, 18, months, were forced to wave goodbye to their life in Cheshire back last July when the footballer decided to leave Premier League giants Manchester City and embark on a new adventure in the burgeoning Saudi Pro League

Taking to Instagram after the footballer signed a four-year contract with the Jeddah-based side, Taylor insisted she was excited about what the future might hold in the Arabian city while sharing photos of the family adjusting to their surroundings.

She wrote: ‘Home isn’t always a place it’s the people in it.. excited for our next adventure together and can’t believe we’re leaving Manchester as a little family.’

‘The last few years have been some of my favourite and will cherish those memories forever… next stop.. Saudi Arabia..’
