Primark is selling a £25 version of a £2,100 designer coat

Primark has caused a stir with yet another purse-friendly version of a popular – and pricey – designer piece.

The fast-fashion retailer has released a bargain blush pink jacket that is a dead ringer for one by Acne, a cult label loved by celebs and style bloggers alike.

While the Scandanavian brand’s lamb shearling version will set you back £2,106, for just £25 fashion fiends can pick up a cut-price faux fur version from Primark.

The high street store shared the new addition on its Instagram account, branding it the ‘must-have’ piece for winter, and fans were quick to brand it the ‘coat of dreams’.

Thousands of fans have already liked the image of the coat, with plenty posting online to say they’d mentally added it to their shopping lists.

‘Omg this jacket is so nice, I need it in my life,’ gushed one.

While another added: ‘This is the jacket of my dreams!’

A third said: ‘Oh cute, I like a bit of shearling!’

It comes after Primark unveiled a new winter collection of on-trend coats, none of them costing more than £40.

While many shoppers anticipate having to fork out upwards of a £100 on the seasonal season staple, Primark had fans rejoicing with its bargain range.

The coats, which range from cosy pink faux fur ones to Burberry-esque vinyl black wraps, cost between £30 and £40.

There's also plenty of faux fur trimmed coats for £40

It’s not the first time Primark has sparked a shopping frenzy with a cheaper version of high-end designs.

In June it unveiled an £8 version of Gucci’s iconic £530 slip-on loafers a month after causing a shopping frenzy with a version of £470 Prada mules, at the same low price.

Last month, it also launched a range of perfumes of six unisex fragrances, The Private Collection, costing from £3 for a 20ml purse spray.

Fragrances such as Rose Oud, Pomegranate & Black Tea are said to be similar to the Jo Malone scents, which cost £44 for a 30ml bottle.
