Budget fashion store Primark has issued an urgent recall of several ranges of cushions after discovering that the stuffing inside could be a fire risk.
The cushions were on sale at UK stores from May 28, 2017 to February 13, 2018.
The retailer said that the cushions ‘do not meet Primark’s flammability standard’ and are urging customers to return the items ‘for a full refund’.

The affected products include a unicorn cushion, a collection of heart shaped cushions, sequin cushions and a super soft cushion.
The retailer announced the recall on its website with a series of statements describing the risks discovered in the pillows.
The statement on the unicorn cushion reads: ‘Following an investigation it has come to our attention that the Unicorn Cushion does not meet Primark’s flammability standards.

‘We have identified a potential issue with the cushion filling used in these products. With prolonged exposure to an ignition source the product may pose a flammability risk. With the safety of our customers at the forefront of our minds we are asking you to return this item for a full refund.
‘The product was on sale in our UK stores from the 28th May 2017 to 13th February 2018. If you have purchased this product then please return it to any Primark store where you will be offered a full refund.
‘You will not be required to provide proof of purchase.’
This statement is repeated for all of the other cushions that are being recalled by the retailer.

The heart shaped collection come in several colours including cream, pink and grey, and lilac.
The super soft cushions come in eight colours including cream, grey, pink, navy, and blue.
On the other hand, the sequin collection is in six colours, including light pink, navy, aqua and silver.
The cute unicorn pillows come in aqua.
Primark have urged customers to return the cushions and promised that they will receive a full refund if they do so
The Sun Online report that 64,000 of the cushions have been sold in Ireland.
A Primark spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘We take the safety of our customers and the quality of our products very seriously, which is why we are recalling a number of cushions.
‘We have identified a potential issue with the cushion where prolonged exposure to an ignition source may pose a flammability risk. All orders with the supplier have been suspended while we carry out a thorough investigation.
‘A full refund is being offered to all customers.’
The news comes on the same day that video game retailer GAME had to also issue an urgent product recall.
It recalled an international power adaptor because of fears it may start a fire or cause an electric shock.
The Powerworx adaptor, which was said to function in over 150 countries including in North America, Australia and China, had been on sale for nine months.
As the cushions went on sale back in May 2017, Primark have confirmed that no receipts or proof of purchase will be required to get the refund
