Primary school students injured in horrifying accident at Oran Park

Several primary school students and one adult have been injured after a lighting rig fell onto them.

The accident unfolded at Barramurra Public School at Oran Park, south-west of Sydney, on Wednesday.

Multiple ambulances were sent to the school with staff urgently calling parents. 

A spokesman for NSW Ambulance said they were called to the school at around 12pm.

‘Paramedics treated multiple patients at the scene, most of whom were children, and also one adult,’ the spokesman told Daily Mail Australia.

‘They were treated for minor injuries, with one child being transported to Campbelltown Hospital and two children being taken to Westmead Children’s Hospital. 

‘They are all in a stable condition with minor injuries.’ 

Ambulance crews were still at the school as of early afternoon on Wednesday. 

A large crowd of bystanders was seen forming outside of the school following the incident.
