Prince Charles gets servants to iron his shoelaces and squeeze out an inch of toothpaste onto his brush for him every morning, Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell has claimed in a new documentary.

The Prince of Wales, 69, demands have earned him the nickname of ‘The Pampered Prince’ among staff at his residence, Clarence House, according to the forthcoming Amazon Prime documentary ‘Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm.’

Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell explains some of his more interesting things staff have to do.

He said: ‘His pajamas are pressed every morning, his shoelaces are pressed flat with an iron, the bath plug has to be in a certain position and the water temperature has to be just tepid,’

He added Charles: ‘has his valets squeeze one inch of toothpaste onto his toothbrush every morning.’

The butler’s duties also apparently extend to helping Prince Charles grab things which are only a few feet from him, according to Page Six.

It is not the first time the Prince’s behaviour has come under the spotlight.

In The Rebel Prince, investigative reporter Tom Bower reveals that visitors to Clarence House, Charles official residence, are guided to their rooms by several footmen.

And the footmen are responsible for several yards of the same corridor, meaning on a walk through Clarence House you can often be escorted by different footmen.

He also revealed the Prince of Wales brings his own toilet seat with him and changes his outfit five times a day.

The 69-year-old is currently on day-two of a trip to west Africa.
