Prince Harry’s VERY soppy sentimental side is revealed in Meghan Markle’s latest interview

Prince Harry has shared a glimpse into his incredibly gushing sentimental side while making a guest appearance in his wife Meghan Markle’s latest interview.

The 37-year-old Duke of Sussex laid bare his romantic nature when he revealed some of the daily compliments that he gives his wife – including calling her a model – while Meghan, 41, recalled how Harry compared them to two intertwined palm trees that they spotted in the grounds of their $14.65 million Montecito mansion.

Speaking to New York Magazine’s fashion-focused publication The Cut, Meghan opened up about a wide variety of topics, once again taking a furious swipe at the royal family, while also painting a picture-perfect image of the Sussexes’ new life in California.

According to the piece published in the magazine – on which Meghan features as a cover model – the former actress refers affectionately to her partner as ‘H’ or ‘my love’, while revealing that the pair plan to use their upcoming Netflix ‘docuseries’ to share their ‘love story’ with the world.

Prince Harry’s very sentimental side has been revealed in his wife Meghan Markle’s latest interview, in which she revealed he branded her a ‘model’

According to Harry, after Meghan, 41, returned from her photoshoot for The Cut, she told him that she's 'not a model', to which he responded: 'No, you are, of course you can be a model'

The Duchess also shared a gushing anecdote about the first time that they toured the sprawling mansion they now call home, revealing that they spotted two ‘connected’ palm trees in the lush grounds, which Harry described as a visual representation of their relationship.

‘One of the first things my husband saw when we walked around the house was those two palm trees,’ she ‘cooed’, according to The Cut piece.

‘See how they’re connected at the bottom? He goes, “My love, it’s us.”‘

Meghan added that the couple had only toured the grounds of the property when they decided that it was the perfect place for them to settle down, recalling how they told their real-estate agent: ‘We have to get this house.’

It was in the grounds of the property that Meghan and Harry posed for a pregnancy shoot, which they released while announcing that they were expecting their second child – daughter Lillibet – back in February 2021.

Although the palm trees were not seen in the photos, which were taken remotely by photographer Misan Harriman, the couple were pictured posing under a sprawling canopy of tall trees that are littered throughout the sprawling gardens of their Montecito home.

While Harry used the soppy image of intertwined palm trees as a visual representation of the couple’s marriage, Meghan prefers a different analogy – instead comparing the couple to ‘salt and pepper’.

Meghan also recalled how Harry, 37, compared the couple to two intertwined palm trees in the grounds of their $14.65 Montecito home, telling her: ''My love, it's us'

While Harry compared the couple to palm trees, Meghan said that they are actually like salt and pepper in that they 'always move together'

While Harry compared the couple to palm trees, Meghan said that they are actually like salt and pepper in that they ‘always move together’

She recounted how a friend’s mother had taught her as a child that ‘salt and pepper are always passed together’, adding: ‘That’s me and Harry. We’re like salt and pepper. We always move together.’

While making a brief guest appearance during the interview, Harry gushed over his wife, telling the interviewer how he’d reassured her that she ‘is a model’ after she expressed doubt over her abilities in front of the camera following her ‘ten-hour’ cover shoot for The Cut, which took place the day before the sit down chat.

According to New York-based writer Allison P. Davis, Harry ‘marveled’ that his wife had been ‘gone for, like, ten hours’ while doing the shoot, before he revealed that the first thing Meghan said after returning home was: ‘I’m not a model.’

‘I was like, “No, you are, of course you can be a model,”‘ Harry said, ‘earning himself so many points’, according to Davis. ‘And she’s like, “I’m a mom!” And it’s like, “You can be both.”‘

In addition to the lovey dovey anecdotes peppered throughout the interview, Meghan’s sit-down with The Cut also served as yet another opportunity for her to take a public swipe at the royal family.

Just days after she aired more criticism of the British monarchy in her new Spotify podcast Archetypes, Meghan took aim at the royals again, this time complaining that ‘a handful of princes and princesses and dukes’ were given ‘the very arrangement’ that she and Harry had ‘wanted’.

Insisting that the couple were not trying to ‘reinvent the wheel’ by asking for financial freedom, she continued: ‘That, for whatever reason, is not something that we were allowed to do, even though several other members of the family do that exact thing.’

The article states that Harry and Meghan suggested to ‘The Firm’ that they should be allowed to work on behalf of the monarchy but make their own money, with the Duchess saying: ‘Then maybe all the noise would stop.’
