Prince William GALLOPS during Royal Variety Performance

Prince William was branded a ‘legend’ as he galloped in the audience during the Royal Variety Performance.

The Duke of Cambridge was praised by viewers for being a ‘good sport’ as he joined in with the fun – leaving the Duchess of Cambridge in stitches.

The royal, 35, was urged by host Miranda Hart to perform her signature move mid-way through the programme, with the help of the cast of Annie also joining in with the request. 

Viewers quickly took to social media to comment on the hilarious moment, with many saying they ‘couldn’t stop laughing’.

Prince William was seen galloping during the Royal Variety Performance, leaving the Duchess of Cambridge in fits of giggles 

One wrote: ‘Prince William galloping is one of the best things I’ve ever seen!’ 

Another commented Yes! Prince William galloping! Love it!’, with one adding: ‘What a legend!’

Earlier in the programme, William also gladly said Miranda’s catchphrase – ‘Such fun!’ – during one sketch, with Kate seen giggling next to him.  

Despite the hilarious moment, many viewers were left disappointed by the rest of the show this year.

One wrote: ‘People claim the Royal Family have an easy life but they’re currently having to endure being ‘entertained’ by Miranda Hart and if that isn’t suffering god knows what is.’ 

Another added:  ‘Not enjoying watching Miranda presenting this. Normally love her but this is embarrassing.’ 

The Royal Variety Performance took place at on November 24, but was only aired on ITV last night. 

Kate, 35, showed off her blossoming bump in a stunning blue gown by Jenny Packham, which she teamed with a pair of cream pumps. 

A host of celebrities performed during the show, including Louis Tomlinson and Paloma Faith.
