Princess Anne was left in hysterics after a young child called her ‘sexy’ during an engagement with one of her patronages, Riding for the Disabled (RDA).

The organisation took to Twitter and shared a behind-the-scenes snap which showed the royal, 71, meeting with a young boy named Ryder, who was sitting on one of the horses.

But when Ryder questioned if she was the Queen, he told her ‘You’re very beautiful…and very sexy!’, resulting in The Princess Royal bursting into laughter.

Alongside the photographs shared on social media, the organisation penned: ‘There’s a beauty to working with children, they’ll come out with anything! This was an exchange between #HRH and one of our riders.’

And many social media users were quick to take to the comments section to praise Princess Anne’s priceless reaction.

‘Aw, he’s too cute. What a story he’ll have to tell for the rest of his life. The time he told the Princess Royal she was sexy,’ wrote one.

A second penned: ‘Best story I have heard in ages….well said Ryder, and great sense of humour Princess Anne ….loved it.’

Elsewhere, a third added: ‘What a wonderful exchange. His words, and Anne’s response,’ while a fourth noted: ‘And look at the response of the woman assisting Ryder! Priceless!’

The engagement marked 50 years since Princess Anne had taken on the patronage and saw her open the Princess Royal Coaching Academy, which will ‘enable the RDA to improve learning opportunities for their coaches’.

During the visit, the royal met with volunteers of the charity and spoke to a number of people who had benefitted from the horse riding courses.

Princess Anne, who protected her hair from the rain with an umbrella, put on a casual display in a beige mac, tweed skirt and boots for the occasion.

Princess Anne has been patron of the charity since 1971 and became its president in 1985.

The organisation, which was established in 1959, has so far provided therapy, fitness, skills development and opportunities for achievement to over 25,000 disabled children and adults thanks to fun activities like riding and carriage driving.

These individuals have been supported by 18,000 amazing volunteers and qualified coaches at nearly 500 RDA centres all across the UK.
