PDA on tour! Princess Charlene and Prince Albert of Monaco share an embrace as they attend a science exhibition opening with their twins in Oslo
Princess Charlene and Prince Albert of Monaco put on a united front as they arrived in Oslo last night. The Monaco royals traveled to Norway to attend the opening of the Sailing the Sea of Science exhibition at the Frammuseum in Oslo, where they were greeted by Crown Prince Haakon. The couple seemed in high spirits and even engaged in a rare show of PDA.
Charlene, 44, and Albert, 64, who looked very cosy during their visit, were accompanied by their twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, seven, for the occasion.
At one point, the Princess wrapped her arm around her husband following their photo call and leaned in for a hug.
The looked closely at each other and appeared to share a private moment despite cameras flashing nearby.
The outing is part of Charlene’s ongoing reintroduction to public life. She recently returned to Monaco following a 10-month absence in her native South Africa and was seen last month with her children and husband for the first time since November, after spending time in a treatment facility for ‘exhaustion’.
Charlene wore a black blazer with tailored straight trousers and a black shirt to the event. She added a bit of glitz with a discreet rhinestone lining on the lapel of her blazer, which matched the pair of stilettos she was wearing.
She completed the look with a discreet pair of diamond and silver earrings. Her platinum blonde locks were styled in the pixie cut she’s been sporting recently. Charlene opted for a natural makeup, with an earth-toned eyeshadow, some mascara and a healthy pink lip. She also sported highlights on her cheekbones to bring definition to her face.
As always, Charlene’s attention was all focused on her children, and she was see holding and carrying them during the event.
They’re pictured here fooling around with each other and appearing to have a fun time.
Princess Gabriella’s outfit matched her mothers, as she was wearing a rhinestoned dress just like the lapel of her mother’s blazer and a matching headband. The young royal wore her dress with a bright red cardigan and ballerina flats adorned with a buckle.
Meanwhile, her twin brother donned a navy blue jacket with tan trousers and a light blue tie. His outfit matched his father’s, with Prince Albert looking dapper in a navy blue suit with a crisp white shirt and blue tie.
The Monaco royal family proceeded to tour the museum, guided by the welcoming presence of Haakon, who talked them through the exhibition.
The royal couple’s appearance together comes after Prince Albert said he was ‘hurt by the vicious rumors’ peddled about his marriage following his wife’s absence and said that it’s the ‘most beautiful thing’ to have her back with him.
The outing is the fifth time the royal couple have been seen in public together since French media claimed she is receiving $12million (£10million) a year to appear by her husband’s side at public outings.
Speaking to French Sunday paper Journal de Dimanche at the start of this month, Albert said the last year was ‘a test for my wife especially, who suffered greatly and lived through difficult times, far from her family. A test also for our children and for myself. We missed the princess a lot. And we were obviously hurt by the malicious rumors that were peddled.’
He continued: ‘But we were able to stay united despite the distance, we spoke to each other often.’ He added: ‘Today, Charlene is back with us and this is the most beautiful thing which could have happened. She’s better, we can finally spend time together. It is a relief and a joy for all of us’.
