Princess Diana’s niece Lady Amelia Spencer and her university beau Greg Mallett have revealed they have decided to move to the UK.
The society beauty, 28, who is the daughter of Earl Spencer and first cousin of Princes William and Harry, announced her engagement to her real estate beau of 11 years in July 2020.
Posting on Instagram over the weekend, Greg said the move had been ’emotional’, writing: ‘My fiancé and I decided to relocate to the UK and are currently in transit in France! Whilst it may seem like we got lucky (in many ways, we did), moving countries is difficult.’
While it is unknown where in the country the couple are planning to live, Amelia’s father Charles live at Althorp House in Northampton.

Posting on Instagram over the weekend, Greg said the move from South Africa to the UK had been ’emotional’ and ‘difficult’
Sharing a snap as he posed on the balcony of a skyscraper, Greg wrote: ‘It’s been an emotional time saying goodbye to friends and family in SA and, as a coach, it’s been a tough task trying not to project my emotions.
‘However, I’ve learnt to sometimes take my own advice and simply focus on the controllable’s, taking 1 day at a time.’
He continued: ‘I’m so excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to take the UK on with open arms!’
Amelia commented on the post, writing: ‘Beyond words proud of you! The best coach in the world.’

Charles, the younger brother of the late Princess of Wales, previously revealed that Greg had asked for his blessing before proposing in South Africa.
Taking to Twitter last year, he said: ‘So happy for my daughter, Amelia, engaged to her boyfriend of 11 years, Greg – it’s wonderful to hear them both so excited about their future.
‘Sending them both love, and every good wish for their life together. I love that Greg asked my blessing before proposing. Very sweet.’
Amelia met her real estate beau of 11 years while they were both studying at the University of Cape Town.

In the series of photos he shared to reveal his engagement, Amelia is seen showing off her dazzling oval diamond ring while the couple kiss and embrace.
Lady Amelia, whose first name is actually Katya, and her twin sister Eliza grew up in the Constantia area of Cape Town with siblings Kitty and Louis.
The three sisters attended the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey in 2011.

While Lady Kitty, Louis and Lady Eliza were present at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials in May 2018, Amelia was missing.
Amelia is the latest Spencer sister to get engaged, after it was reported that Lady Kitty is engaged to her 60-year-old beau, multi-millionaire Michael Lewis.
Greg is well-known by the Spencer clan and is already considered to be part of the family.
