Brooksbank is the son of an Old Etonian, accountant George Brooksbank and attended the £10,000-a-term Stowe school.

It was discovered in early 2018 that Brooksbank and Princess Eugenie are distantly related, with his great-great-grandfather Viscount Thomas Coke is also the great-great-grandfather of Sarah Ferguson, Eugenie’s mother.

Brooksbank didn’t go to university, instead going straight into the hospitality industry.

He started out as a waiter and worked at a gastropub near Sloane Square. While working, he met Piers Adam, a businessman who hired him at The Markham Inn in Chelsea.

It was at The Markham Inn that Brooksbank met Prince Harry and Guy Pelly and began navigating the royal circles.

Later, Brooksbank joined the operations team at Mahiki, a nightclub preferred by Prince Harry, and became a brand ambassador for George Clooney’s Casamigos tequila.
