Princess Madeleine of Sweden expecting her third child

Sweden’s royals are already looking forward to arrival of a new family member any way now when Princess Sofia gives birth, and he or she won’t be waiting long for a new playmate. 

Princess Madeleine, 35, has taken to her official Facebook page to announce she’s expecting her third child with her financier husband Chris O’Neill. 

‘Chris and I are thrilled to announce that I am expecting,’ she said. ‘We look forward to four becoming five!’

An announcement from the Swedish Royal Court confirmed the new arrival is due in March 2018 and that the Princess is feeling well. 

Madeleine is already a mother to Prince Nicolas, two, and Princess Leonore, three, and royal fans rushed to congratulate her after announcing the news on Facebook.

She was last seen in public on 27th August at the Longines FEI European Championships in Gothenburg, but there was no hint of a baby bump to be seen.

Meanwhile, the family is looking forward to the birth of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia’s second child, who is due in September.

Princess Leonore was born in New York where the family were based at the time for Chris’ job as a financier. 

However, they have since relocated to London enabling Madeleine to be much closer to her family. 

Since moving to the capital, she’s also expressed her hope that her children could enjoy a playdate with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. 

‘We try to do a lot of activities because my little Leonore, she has lots of energy, so we have to keep her stimulated and busy,’ she told People magazine.

And she also opened up maintaining a close bond with her siblings since they became parents, despite living in different countries.

Her older sister Crown Princess Victoria, 40, has two children Estelle, five, and Oscar, 17 months months, with her husband Prince Daniel.

Meanwhile her older brother Prince Carl Philip, 38, has Alexander, 16 months, with his wife Princess Sofia and another one on the way.

And Madeleine reveals that being parents has added an ‘extra connection’ to their already close relationship.

Madeleine met her husband after fleeing to the US in 2010 with a broken heart.

She crossed the Atlantic following the breakdown of her first engagement to Swedish attorney Jonas Bergstrom amid speculation that he had cheated on her.

Madeleine became known as Sweden’s party princess during her early 20s, when she was frequently spotted at Stockholm’s high-end nightclubs.

Countless column inches were also devoted to Madeleine’s stylish wardrobe and glamorous lifestyle, but she now focuses on royal duties and raising her two children.
