The stunning snap was shared by the Danish Royal House on Facebook where thousands of Danish and Australian citizens sent the Princess warm birthday wishes and praised her effortless beauty.

Mary looked to be in high spirits as she met with guests at the reception, before handing out the Danish Cancer Society Honorary Award.

It has been a busy start of the year for the Australian-born royal, who made an appearance at Copenhagen Fashion Week last week.
She had attended the 2018 Women’s Board Awards ceremony just days earlier.
Mary married Crown Prince Frederik in 2004, after the pair met during the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
The couple regularly visit Australia, enjoying a Christmas break in Sydney with their four children.
