Princess Mary wears Prada to attend bullying conference

Crown Princess Mary made a statement in modern power dressing that was strong, feminine and fluid when she attended a conference on bullying earlier this week.

The 45-year-old looked effortless at the Free from Bullying’ 10th anniversary event, wearing a high-necked pale Prada blouse, with buckle detailing at the collar, teamed with a navy Massimo Dutti wool suit.

The well-dressed royal paired the look with dark blue pointed heels which added a touch of panache to an otherwise formal ensemble.

Not only does Princess Mary always make a style statement par excellence, she also makes conscious consumerism look good.

Embracing an ethos of recycling, the Crown Princess showed she isn’t afraid to re-wear her clothing.

In 2015, Princess Mary was snapped in an almost identical outfit when she attended a children’s well-being event with charitable trust, The Mary Foundation.

The Australian-born royal, and mother to four, has previously spoken out about the detrimental effects of bullying on children.

‘I have been teased, but have not been subjected to systematic bullying,’ she said.

‘But having said that, I am sure that there has been bullying at my school, I’ve just been unaware of it or a passive onlooker to it.

‘It is something we need to do, we must all be aware of bullying.’

The Prada blouse which appears to have been in rotation in the royal wardrobe since 2011, was also worn when Her Royal Highness met British royalty: Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Though the fashionable princess paired the pretty silk shirt with grey wool trousers, and a deep blue trench, the blouse was clearly the hero garment.

A day earlier, the Danish royal was snapped at Hack4Girls – Hackathon Symposium at held at Papirhalen in Copenhagen.

As patron of the Maternity Foundation, Princess Mary made a more subtle statement.

She paired fine knit draped Prada sweater that was gathered at the shoulder and adorned with a black patent leather flower brooch, with tapered black pants.

Her choice of accessories – burgundy suede Azzedine Alaia cutout heels, and a Hugo Boss clutch – naturally elevated this outfit to high fashion.

Princess Mary also spoke at the symposium which is held for the purpose of finding solutions to the problems experienced by girls and women who have been forced to migrate from Sub-Saharan Africa.
