A few dozen pro-Palestinian protesters were arrested and escorted out of a Senate office building on Monday after they laid down on the ground and demanded Congress stop backing Israel against Hamas terrorists. Meanwhile, elderly Jewish protesters in favor of a ceasefire were also protesting across town by chaining themselves to the White House security fence. And other anti-war protesters outside the White House on Monday laid on the ground under white sheets with fake blood all over them and baby dolls in a demand to ‘stop the collective punishment in Gaza .’

With the handful of anti-Israel protests going on in Washington, D.C. on Monday, the group Bring Out Families Home is also holding a meal outside the White House to bring attention to the families who won't have members at their holiday tables this year. The group, with the mission of getting hostages out of Gaza, also plans to attempt to deliver Christmas ornaments with the faces of still at-large hostages being held by Hamas terrorists.

Protesters on Capitol Hill on Monday sat and laid on the ground, sometimes forcing Capitol Police officers to carry them off the floor of the Senate Hart Office Building. They were stomping their feet on the ground in tantric motions to create noise and a beat for their chant: 'Ceasefire now.' The anti-Israel demonstrators came armed with props of bloody potato sacks of fake money with black writing: 'Stop arming Israel.'

They also wore black mouth coverings as well as black shirts with white writing including a few different messages – including 'stop genocide now' and 'invest in life.' Both the Capitol Hill and White House protesters come more than two months after Hamas terrorists launched a brutal and deadly attack on Israel on October 7 – leading to the largest single-day massacre if Jewish people since the Holocaust.

Since then, pro-Palestinian protesters have defended Gaza's de facto government, which is Hamas, and have demanded Israel stop counter striking in a bid to keep the Jewish state from defending itself against terrorists. Hours before the annual White House Hanukkah Party, 18 Jewish leaders chained themselves to the fence surrounding the grounds. President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden are hosting the party on Monday evening. Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, who is Jewish, will attend.

Donning shirts with the message, 'Not in our name,' the elderly Jewish demonstrators sat with their arms entangled during a chilly and windy Washington, D.C. day to demand the president stop sending funding to ally Israel. Over at the Hart Office building on Monday, protesters were holding a massive banner claiming: 'Aid' to Israel = Bombing Palestinians.' Another smaller sign read: 'Stop arming Israel.'

The large black, angular sculpture by Alexander Calder in the building became part of the protest when pro-Palestinian activists draped the Palestinian flag over it along with a banner with a dove holding an olive branch. 'The people choose life,' is what the banner reads. Congress is on hold as it eyes legislation to approve this week a new aid package for both Ukraine and Israel in their respective wars.
