A record setting high school quarterback from Colorado, who had committed to play football at Northwestern University, was arrested on Friday for multiple sexual assault charges.
Aidan Jeffrey Atkinson, the 18-year-old star quarterback for Fairview High School, was arrested on Friday but was a juvenile at the time of the incident.
According to a press release from the Boulder Police Department – who did not identify Atkinson – the teen sexually assaulted multiple women while on a party bus in Boulder City on September 15, 2018.

Atkinson was named in the Boulder County jail bookings.
He has been charged with three counts of sexual assault, criminal attempt of sexual assault and five counts of unlawful sexual contact.
The police department shared that the assault involved multiple female victims, all of which were juveniles at the time of the incident.
They shared that Atkinson turned himself in on Friday.

‘Detectives wish to speak to anyone who may have additional information about what occurred, including any videos or photographs of the assaults,’ the release states.
Atkinson has had a successful run as quarterback for the Colorado high school, getting named the Gatorade Player of the Year 2018.
The athlete set a state record for touchdown passes – 120 career touchdown passes in total. He also set the state record for passing yards too, according to BOCO Prep.
Fairview High School is scheduled to play in a playoff game against Cherry Creek on Friday night.
Atkinson’s has committed to play for Northwestern University in 2020
Randy Barber, Chief Communications Officer for the Boulder Valley School District, said in a statement to the DailyMail.com that the quarterback was not playing in the game.
‘The Boulder Valley School District is aware of the investigation and is cooperating fully with our partners in law enforcement and the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office,’ Barber said in the statement.
He later added: ‘In alignment with Boulder Valley School Districr board policy, (JGD/JGE —K. Crimes of Violence) Aiden Atkinson is being placed in an appropriate alternative educational opportunity until the court proceedings are complete.’
Atkinson’s has committed to play for Northwestern University in 2020.
According to Inside NU, the university is not commenting on the allegations against Atkinson.
