PSG ‘agree personal terms with Lucas Hernandez’ with Bayern Munich willing to let the French defender leave amid the imminent arrival of Napoli’s Kim Min-jae
Lucas Hernandez could be nearing an exit from Bayern Munich, with reports suggesting that the club ‘will no longer stand in the way of his departure’ as the club are closing in on a deal to sign Kim Min-Jae from Napoli.
Thomas Tuchel’s side were originally, according to L’Equipe, ‘reluctant to sell’ the French international and had previously ‘stood in the way of his exit’ with Hernandez having been linked with a move away from the German champions for some time.
Bayern were always going to be reluctant to part ways with their star midfielder, who only recently made his return to the pitch after he had suffered an ACL injury during the 2022 World Cup.
But L’Equipe are now claiming that the Bavarian side ‘are willing to sanction Hernandez’s departure’ with the club edging closer to Kim, having seemingly beaten Man United in the race to sign the £56million-rated defender.
And in light of that news, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that PSG and Hernandez have agreed personal terms and the French giants will speak with the German champions later this week to thrash out a deal for the World Cup winner.
Lucas Hernandez could be set for a move to PSG with reports suggesting that Bayern Munich will no longer obstruct his exit from the club
It comes after the German champions seem to be closing in on a move for Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae
He wrote on Twitter: ‘Paris Saint-Germain have sealed a verbal agreement on personal terms with Lucas Hernandez. The club hopes to advance in talks with Bayern next week.’
‘He is no longer untouchable with new Bayern board as the situation is very clear: extend the contract or leave now.’
Mail Sport reported in May that PSG had been looking to acquire him, and it seems, according to L’Equipe, that the German side will demand a fee of around £43m for the star defender.
Hernandez joined from Atletico Madrid back in 2019 in a £68m, five-year deal deal that is set to expire next year.

PSG could also part ways with Achraf Hakimi (pictured) which could mean they will need to reinforce their defensive stocks this summer
Despite making only seven appearances this season, the defender has gone on to play 107 times for the German Champions, establishing himself as one of the most valued members in the squad, winning four Bundesliga titles and one Champions League with Bayern.
Hernandez, who can also play left-back, will bring plenty of versatility to the PSG backline, should he join the club this summer.
With Presnel Kimpembe also suffering an ACL injury this season and Sergio Ramos departing the club, the Parisians are certainly looking to reinforce their defensive stocks and see Hernandez as a prime target.
It comes as Manchester City are eyeing up a move for PSG defender Achraf Hakimi, who’s agent has admitted the Moroccan right-back could be tempted with a move away from the Parc des Princes.
