PSG stars Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani mocked up on iconic Abbey Road cover ahead of game in Liverpool, home of The Beatles

French newspaper L’Equipe came over all historical on Tuesday morning as they produced a mock up of Paris Saint-Germain’s star players as The Beatles ahead of their appearance in Liverpool.
Head coach Thomas Tuchel is seen leading Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani over the Abbey Road zerbra crossing, a tribute to the iconic album cover of the same name.
The crossing is situated in west London by Abbey Road Studios, where the Beatles recorded 12 of their 23 albums, but L’Equipe’s use of it comes ahead of PSG’s Champions League clash in Merseyside, home of the legendary band.

L’Equipe’s headline ‘Une Route A Traverser’, meaning ‘A Road To Cross’ is fitting as PSG launch their latest attempt to win Europe’s biggest club competition against last year’s finalists, Liverpool.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi has invested well over a £1billion since his takeover in 2011 with the ultimate ambition of turning the then under-performing Ligue 1 club into the biggest and best in Europe.
They have, however, failed to ever make it past the quarter-finals and have been sent packing at the round of 16 in the last two seasons. Having drawn against Liverpool and Napoli in Group C, they could feasibly fail to make it to the knockout stages.
They could allay those fears by beating Liverpool on Tuesday night, but that will be easier said than done. Jurgen Klopp’s men have won all of their Premier League games this season, including an impressive defeat of Tottenham on Saturday.

PSG will certainly represent the biggest challenge yet for Liverpool, however, as they have been in impressive form domestically as well. They have a 100 per cent record in Ligue 1 and are scoring at a rate of over three goals per game.
Tuchel, whose success at Parc des Princes will come down to PSG’s performance in Europe, urged his side not to respect the threat that Liverpool pose.
He said: ‘In the moments you don’t have the ball you can never feel comfortable against Jurgen’s teams. I am pretty confident this type of game and opponent brings the best out of us.
‘You can never think for one minute you have the game under control.
‘It does not bring you one centimetre to a title if you talk about who is favourite and who is not. We have a very complicated group.’
