Cody Gakpo has claimed moving to Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United is a ‘serious option’ for him.
The PSV winger has been linked with United all summer but nothing concrete has been agreed.
Ten Hag is thought to be a big fan of Gakpo, who has picked up an incredible 12 assists and three goals in four games this season.

Despite being just 23, the Dutch international has already managed 43 goals in 146 games for PSV and won the Eredivisie.
Speaking to ESPN after his side’s win over Excelsior, Gakpo said: ‘There are also other options, United are a serious option. I can hear it all. I try to shut myself off from it, but it’s difficult.’
United are also currently believed to be approaching a deal for another Eredivisie star in Ajax striker Antony.

The progression in the transfer market has been part of an excellent week all round for Manchester United.
Their 4-0 loss to Brentford two weeks ago left the club bottom of the Premier League, but they have since risen to eighth after back-to-back wins against Liverpool and Southampton.
While there is still a long way to go, United do appear to be on the way up, and if ten Hag can bring in more of the players he knows best from the Eredivisie then this could still prove to be a reasonable season for the Red Devils.
