PT fired for Charlottesville photo with white supremacists

A personal trainer was sacked from a St. Louis gym after clients and co-workers spotted his inked arm in crowd of white supremacists from the Charlottesville rally.

Unlicensed CrossFit coach, Bobby Ritter, was pictured in the main image of Vox’s ‘Unite the Right, the violent white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, explained’ article published on August 14.

Ritter can be seen with a gas mask covering his face and a helmet on his head, while making a confident ‘OK’ hand gesture — giving viewers a clear view of his unique tattoo.

It seems members of the gym instantly identified Ritter and shared the photo to their social media pages, instantly stirring controversy within the community.

Members of the Lab Gym on 5035 Manchester Ave told the Riverfront Times Ritter was an avid Trump supporter who wasn’t afraid to vocalize his opinion and beliefs.

Members said since the story went viral, Ritter went mute on social media and deleted all of his personal and professional accounts.

Lab Gym owner Justin Thacker reportedly sent an email to clients and employees confirming the termination of the trainer, according to the newspaper.

‘After careful consideration, the Lab Gym has severed working relations with Bobby Ritter,’ Thacker wrote in the memo.

‘There has been questions, concerns, and some evidence to part ways based on differences concerning important core principles that are innate to the Lab Gym and it’s mission.’

Ritter wasn’t the first activist from the deadly and controversial ‘Unite the Right’ rally to be named and shamed this month.

Cole White, an employee at the Top Dog restaurant in Berkeley, California, was fired after a photo went viral showing him waving a torch while standing in a crowd of white supremacists at the riot.

A spokesman for the company confirmed his termination in a statement to the Daily Mail, saying, ‘we feel it is imperative to let you know that Cole White is no longer employed by Top Dog, LLC.’

Another neo-Nazi exposed was Reno University undergraduate Peter Cvjetanovic, who was pictured in the furious infamous face shot from the tiki torch gathering.

Cvjetanovic spoke out on the matter in an interview with KTVN recently, saying that when he saw his face all over the internet, his ‘heart sank.’

‘I did not expect the photo to be shared as much as it was … I understand the photo has a very negative connotation. But I hope that the people sharing the photo are willing to listen that I’m not the angry racist they see in that photo,’ Cvjetanovic said.

‘I came to this march for the message that white European culture has a right to be here just like every other culture. It is not perfect; there are flaws to it, of course.

‘However I do believe that the replacement of the statue will be the slow replacement of white heritage within the United States and the people who fought and defended and built their homeland,’ he added.

‘Robert E Lee is a great example of that. He wasn’t a perfect man, but I want to honor and respect what he stood for during his time.’

Other members apart of the rally were identified on the ‘Yes, You’re Racist’ Twitter page — which has gained well over 400,000 followers since created.
