Josh Withers tweeted that following the Netflix app using Qantas inflight WiFi will earn you three months’ free Netflix use. The offer also applied to new customers on Stan.
If you’re looking to save some money in the aftermath of the festive season but don’t want to give up the luxury of streaming TV and movies, then Qantas’ new deal is for you.
As helpful Netflix enthusiast Josh Withers tweeted on Tuesday morning, if you are flying Qantas and the plane has inflight WiFi, following the Netflix app will earn you $30 credit.
Customers will be able to receive three months free Netflix – even if you’re already subscribed – as well as three months for free on Stan for new customers.
That’s equivalent to three months of unlimited free streaming.
The credit will be applied to your Netflix or Stan account to be used anywhere – not just on the plane.
By using Qantas inflight WiFI, you can receive months’ free streaming on both Netflix and Stan
Alternatively, once you’re connected to the WiFi, you’ll see the homepage that offers you access to streaming services.
All you have to do is navigate to the entertainment tab featuring Netflix, Stan and Spotify while using Qantas WiFi and you will be taken directly from the promotional link to the Netflix login page.
Once you’ve entered your details the credit will be applied to your account to be used anywhere for the next three months, not just on the plane.
One savvy user even claimed that he received nine months’ free Netflix by earning three months each on his phone, iPad and laptop.
Qantas is also offering live access to Cricket Australia over the inflight internet service. The offer is valid on domestic Qantas flights until 31 March, 2018.
