‘Caleb you weak gronk get in the ring for our charity scaffolding boxing night?,’ the unnamed scaffolder wrote in a Facebook message shared by Jamie Myer.

‘You think ur (sic) the man jumping a young bloke 3 on 1 … let’s (see) how you go you little b**** c***’.

To which Maraku replied: ‘Sort it out I’ll come down 100%. Message with the info and dates (and) I’ll see u then.’

Mr Myer hoped Maraku would take part in the fight at the QT Hotel in March.

‘There’s a few scaffolders who want to see how tough he really is in a fair fight,’ he told The Courier Mail.

On Friday 19-year-old Maraku was handed a 12-month good behaviour bond after pleading guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm.

He also pleaded guilty to breaching a banning order, as he was prohibited at the time from being in the area.

After leaving Southport Magistrates Court, Maraku was laughing and joking with reporters, attempting to take selfies for his ‘fans’.

Maraku’s sickening attack on the 19-year-old came as the victim and another man were exchanging words on Orchid Avenue.

The victim was backing away from the other man who kicked him, moments before the coward punch.

The teenager crashed to the tiled floor, rendering him unconscious. He was rushed to hospital with broken teeth, cuts to his head and bruising.

The court heard Maraku, who is a father, had drunk eight Jack Daniels and coke cans.

His solicitor said he ‘does not intend to drink again’.

The Magistrate described Maraku as a ‘very lucky man’, saying his disgusting attack ‘could have ended in this person’s death’.

He will be on probation for 12 months, not allowed to consume any drugs or alcohol during that period and was fined $361 to help pay the victim’s medical bills but was handed no conviction.
