Queen and Prince Philip’s distant cousins shared Instagram snaps of their outfits

Guests at the Duke of Edinburgh’s service of thanksgiving shared photos of their outfits on Instagram. 

Prince Charles’ goddaughter India Hicks, granddaughter of Louis Mountbatten, 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma, shared several photographs, including ones taken at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, following the London service. 

Flora Ogilvy, who is the Queen’s cousin, also shared a photo of her outfit as she set off from home, crediting designer Emilia Wickstead and milliner Rachel Trevor Morgan for her outfit.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh’s extended families rallied to support the monarch at the Westminster Abbey service yesterday.

India, who served as bridesmaid at the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, was among the earliest guests to arrive at the event yesterday. 

She wore a lengthy blue coat dress  which featured a dramatic thigh slit for the occasion, which she paired with a matching fascinator.

India was joined at the event by her husband, David Flint Wood, and brother Ashley Hicks. Notably absent was their mother, Lady Pamela Hicks, 92, Lord Mountbatten’s youngest daughter and the Queen’s former Lady-in-Waiting.

Her cousin Miss Mouwatt travelled to the service with her cousin Edward Windsor, Lord Downpatrick, grandson of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent.

Meanwhile the Queen’s cousin Prince Michael of Kent arrived hand in hand with his wife, who looked elegant in a white dress, which she wore with an open black coat. 

The Duchess of Gloucester was also among the people in attendance, wearing a navy blue coat and a light blue hat for the occasion.

The Queen’s cousin Princess Alexandra, 85, cut an elegant figure in an emerald green coat as she arrived at Westminster Abbey, using a crutch to support her as she walked across the cobbles.    

Lady Gabriella Windsor arrived with her husband Thomas Kingston in tow. She was wearing a tasteful navy blue ensemble tied at the waist and watchin swede blue heels. 

Lady Amelia Windsor also attended, wearing a demure buttoned up jacket and trousers, her blonde locks cascading down her back.

Her Majesty walked with the help of a stick but stood without support sat next to Charles, Camilla, Anne and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence. Across the aisle was Prince Andrew
