Queen Letizia attends reception at the palace in Madrid

Queen Leitizia has proven her sartorial prowess once again, by donning a feather-trimmed frock just hours after she donned her finery for a state dinner.

The Spanish royal, 45, attended a reception at Pardo Palace in Madrid on Tuesday evening in a sharp navy top and coordinating skirt teamed with towering stilettos.

The event was part of Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa’s visit to Spain.

Just a day before Leitizia had dazzled in a pearl-studded blue gown and a breathtaking tiara that belonged to her mother-in-law Queen Sofia.

Tonight, Letizia was joined by a host of stars including Helen Svedin, a Swedish model and the wife of Portuguese footballer Luís Figo.

Showing off her unique style, the glamorous queen consort matched the top with a quirky black skirt featuring feathered panels.

For her makeup she wore her trademark dark eye makeup and just a dash of coral lipstick, while her brunette locks were worn in bouncy waves.

She completed the look with a large pair of statement gold earrings.

The look was a stark difference from the formal look she wore at yesterday’s formal state dinner.

Letizia looked sensational in a pearl-studded dress and a tiara that she’d borrowed from Queen Sofia.

The piece has been worn on numerous occasions by Letizia’s mother-in-law, 79, with whom she appeared to share a tense exchange earlier this month.

It appears the two women have put their falling out behind them, as the tiara was likely borrowed from the former Queen consort, the mother of Letizia’s husband.

In the tense clip Letizia was seen standing in front of Sofia, who appears to be posing for pictures with her granddaughters.

After a brief exchange, the Spanish queen seems to try to take the arm of her eldest daughter Leonor, who then shoves both her mother and grandmother’s hands aside.
