The Spanish monarch hosted a lunch today at the Royal Palace in Madrid for the President of Colombia Ivan Duque Marquez and wife Maria Juliana Ruiz.

Looking typically polished, the 49-year-old donned a red silk gown by Massimo Dutti featuring button detailing on the sleeves and a cinched waist teamed with a pair of matching slingback heels.

Letizia most recently wore the dress during the launch of the ‘Spain For Sure’ Campaign at the Prado Museum in Madrid in June 2020.

Her brown tresses were styled straight, loose around her shoulders and for her make-up look the mother-of-two opted for a subtle smokey eye and a touch of bronzer.

Putting safety first, the mother-of-two donned a plain white face mask as she greeted her guests.

Maria, 43, opted for a white knee length dress with a ruffled hemline, cinched in with a black leather belt and styled with a pair of black court heels.

King Felipe, 53, cut a handsome figure in a navy blue suit, paired with a white shirt and yellow silk tie. He also wore a white face covering throughout the event

Other pupils counts Princess Alexia of the Netherlands, also 15. Both girls have enrolled on a £67,000, two-year course to study for their International Baccalaureate diploma at UWC Atlantic College.

The future Queen is going to study at a 12th-century castle dubbed the ‘Hippie Hogwarts’ in Wales, the Spanish royal household announced and will begin her two-year course at the boarding school this summer.

The most recent royal alumna was Princess Elisabeth of Belgium, 19, the daughter of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, who enrolled in 2018 but had to cut her time at the college short due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and continued her studies online from home.

The school, for students aged 16 to 19, says it seeks to ‘inspire changemakers’ who want to work for the common good. Her parents will personally meet the cost of the £67,000 course.
