Queen Letizia of Spain wears pinks as she attends the National Culture Awards in Spain

Queen Letizia of Spain looked fabulous today as she donned a recycled pastel floral dress to attend an awards ceremony Spain.

The stylish royal, 50, turned heads in the black and pink midi dress with sheer paneling around the neckline, as she joined her husband her husband King Felipe VI at the National Culture Awards 2021 in Zaragoza.

The Spanish queen first wore the unique dress in 2019 for a gala in Seoul, hosted by former South Korean President Moon Jae-in and wife Kim Jung-sook.

Showing off her thrifty side by re-wearing the garment for tonight’s awards at the Pignatelli building in Spain’s Aragon region, Letizia paired the chic dress with pale pink heels and a coordinating clutch bag.

The mother-of-two swept her brunette tresses to one side in loose curls, showing off mirror drop earrings.

Keeping her look on-trend with a statement make-up look, the Spanish royal paired  vibrant fuchsia pink eyeshadow with statement lashes and a glossy, muted pink lip.

Meanwhile, King Felipe was also stylish in a navy two-piece single breasted suit, which he wore alongside a pale blue shirt, and deep red tie for the event.

It has been reported that the Spanish king will be presiding over the awards, which recognise those who have contributed to the enrichment of the cultural heritage of Spain.

The annual awards seek to promote cultural activities – which is understood to be a service to citizens – and to express society’s recognition of those involved.

This includes recognising the work of people or institutions that either with their works, or through their active participation in various fields of artistic or literary creation, contribute to the enrichment of the cultural heritage of Spain.

The awards have several categories which span a range of activities, largely artistic endeavours.

These include fine arts, cinema and audiovisual, book reading and letters, and performing arts and music.

Also included are categories seeking to highlight historical heritage, cultural industries and – perhaps more controversially – bullfighting.

Letizia appeared to be smiling as she stood next to pedestals boasting small statuettes, around the necks of which were old-style picture cameras.

Today’s outing, which saw the royals highlight their deep interest in culture and art, followed an appearance last week at the inaugural Sorolla Through Light exhibition in Madrid.

There, Queen Letizia looked typically stylish in a black midi dress, which was cinched in at the waist with a red buckle belt, as she attended the exhibition’s inauguration at the Royal Palace.

She held a burgundy leather bag, which she matched with coordinating burgundy heeled pumps, as she joined her husband King Felipe VI at the event, which is dedicated to the Spanish painter Joaquin Sorolla.

King Felipe contrasted his wife’s dark subtle tones by wearing a light grey suit and pale blue shirt with a snazzy red tie with a floral pattern.

Photos showed the Spanish King and Queen standing alongside some of Sorolla’s finest artworks, which will be hosted ad the Royal Palace from February 17th 23rd.

The immersive exhibition will combine the artist’s creation with digital recreations and sensory experiences through light, colour and movement.

For the first day of the exhibition the royals were joined by the Spanish Minister for Culture, Miquel Iceta, the exhibition’s curator Consuelo Luca de Tena, former director of the Sorolla Museum and Blanca Pons-Sorolla great granddaughter of the painter and an expert in his work.
