Queen Maxima of the Netherlands meant business as she stepped out in a khaki ensemble for defense helicopter training on Thursday.
The Dutch royal, 51, got stuck into training for extinguishing forest fires with the Defense Helicopter Command at Gilze-Rijen Air Base.
She was the picture of confidence during the training, which was carried out with a Chinook transport helicopter.
The royal looked the part in a khaki jumpsuit and a padded green jacket which she paired with chunky brown boots.
The mother-of-three looked wind swept as she struggled to put on her helmet ahead of the helicopter ride.

Maxima received an explanation prior to the adrenaline filled training on how to extinguish forest fires from the air.
The helicopters at the base are deployed in support of the airmobile brigade, special forces units and Royal Netherlands Navy ships in particular.
They also take part in NATO and UN operations and can be used to assist in fighting major fires.
It’s been a busy week for Maxima, who yesterday showed off her culinary skills as she got stuck into a spot of cooking during a royal engagement.
She looked elegant for her day of visits to two organisations supported by the Oranje Fonds: Women’s Centre, donning a smart navy dress with an eye-catching white floral appliqué.
It was a repeat look for the Queen who previously wore the wool embossed dress by Oscar de la Renta when she visited the Dune and Bulb Region in South Holland in April 2022.

Maxima wasn’t afraid to roll up her sleeves as she stirred a pot on the stove while chatting to women at Db4all Cooks in Roermond.
The project cooks up hundreds of meals a day to distribute to those in need.
She also visited DB4ALL Kookt, an initiative of youth centre DB4ALL and the football club Tigers Roermond, which offers support to young people in the form of homework clubs and workshops.
The monarch was typically stylish for the outing, pairing her navy midi dress iwth heels in a matching shade.
Her blonde hair was swept back from her face and fell around her shoulders for low-key glamour.

And last week, she was in Morocco for an official royal visit.
She travelled to North Africa as Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Financial Inclusion and Development.
The working visit involved a number of high profile meetings, including a visit to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Secretary General of the Government and Bank Al-Maghrib in Rabat.
Queen Maxima has served as the UN Secretary General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA) since 2009.
She was appointed by former Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and in this role is a leading global voice on advancing universal access to and responsible usage of affordable, effective and safe financial services.
