Queen Maxima stuns in colourful dress as she visits Morocco

Casablanca chic! Queen Máxima of the Netherlands stuns in colourful dress as she visits the Moroccan city

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands stunned in Casablanca today as she visited French multinational insurance company Axa.

The Dutch royal, 51, opted for a colourful blue and red patterned dress with long sleeves.

She paired the bohemian look with comfortable-but-chic black wedges and kept her legs bare in the warm weather.

Styling her shoulder-length hair straight, the mother-of-three opted for minimal, natural make-up except for her her signature smokey eyeshadow.

Queen Maxima is visiting the Morocco city as Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Financial Inclusion and Development.

And this was day two of her three day tour.

She met with representatives from Axa, an insurance company that also provides investment management and other financial services.

And her colourful outfit was in sharp contrast to the other men and women in dark suits.

She wore a Valentino Printed Silk Crepe de Chine Dress, which is inspired by a patchwork of 20th Century scarf prints.

She has previously worn it in 2018 and 2015.

The royal seemed in great spirits as she met with business leaders.

Yesterday, she visited the Bank of Africa welcomed by CEO Othman Benjelloun, and also met with Fintech partners at the Hyatt Hotel.

She again wore a colourful outfit – a striking paisley two-piece with brown wedges.

In-keeping with colourful look, the Queen touched down in Casablanca sporting an indigo and ochre dip dye denim midi dress as she arrived at the airport.

Queen Maxima of The Netherlands has served as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA) since 2009.

Maxima opted for a similarly colourful ensemble when she stepped out in a scarlet dress for an engagement in the Netherlands.

She was appointed by former Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and in this role is a leading global voice on advancing universal access to and responsible usage of affordable, effective and safe financial services.

During her visit, Maxima will have also meetings and discussions which will focus on key investments to kick start Morocco’s digital payments market, especially for undeserved groups such as women and small merchants.

There will also be talks about how Morocco’s fintech sector can further progress, including support for technology that can help address risks, costs, and geographic barriers to financial services in the country.

Queen Maxima will also highlight inclusive green finance, particularly the role of financial services to build resilience and support adaptation from climate risks.

As an active leader, it was only last week that the Dutch Queen was visiting various social institutions as part of the Oranje Fonds Entrepreneurship Programme against Loneliness in Vlaardingen, the Netherlands.
