Queen Rania attends Capitol Hill meeting with her husband

Queen Rania of Jordan was the picture of elegance in a cream blouse and tweed skirt for her latest visit to Capitol Hill.

The 47-year-old royal joined her husband, King Abdullah II, in a meeting with members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday afternoon.

Rania looked ageless in a stunning in a cream mock-neck blouse that she wore tucked into a calf-grazing tweed skirt.

The queen’s skirt was cinched at the waist with a cream sash, and she topped off her outfit with a pair of silver pumps. 

With her glowing complexion and natural-looking make-up, Rania could easily have passed for a woman half her age. 

The mother-of-four wore her highlighted brown hair in loose waves around her shoulders and delicate earrings dangled from her ears. 

The queen was all smiles as she stood alongside her husband while posing for photos with Senator Ben Cardin and Senator Bob Corker, the current chairman of the Senate’s Committee on Foreign Relations.

King Abdullah II looked dapper in a black suit and crimson tie for the visit, and he was photographed shaking hands with U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce before the meeting. 

Although President Trump’s eldest daughter Ivanka met Queen Rania in January, just a few weeks before he was sworn into office, the White House senior adviser was not on hand at during the royals’ visit to Capitol Hill. 

The 36-year-old first daughter was in India wrapping up her solo official visit to Hyderabad. 

Ivanka traveled to the city at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to headline the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.

Ivanka, in her biggest foreign mission yet, urged India to seize the untapped potential in women and promoted growing ties between the U.S. and the South Asia powerhouse in a keynote speech on Tuesday before the prime minister.  

On Monday, Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, met with King Abdullah outaside his residence in Washington, D.C. to discuss Middle East Peace.

The King of Jordan also had a meeting with Vice President Mike Pence that morning to talk about how to best move forward to ensure stability and safety in the Middle East.
