A Queensland father has shared extremely graphic images of his son’s injuries after he crashed his motorbike while riding without any shoes.

Ed Wright, from Bribie Island, hoped posting the pictures would stop other riders making the same mistake.

The boy's father urged everyone to share the images on Facebook as a warning to never ride without proper footwear

‘My son has learnt a valuable lesson the hard way,’ he wrote on Facebook.

‘This is what happens when you ride a motor bike with no boots… ie thongs or bare feet.

‘So all you Bullet Proof Guys… Take a Good Look…. it could be YOU… One Day.

‘Every bone smashed in the foot and yes that is part of his foot on the Disc Caliper.’

The boy was taken to hospital where his leg was bandaged up.
