A homeless man who told a female police officer to ‘go back to your brothel and f*** the entire football team’ has faced court over a string of offences.

David Kassis, 48, pleaded guilty at Cairns Magistrates Court to assault, abuse and sending lewd images.

His offences began in 2017 when he attacked a 61-year-old man at a community meeting in Maryborough, north of Brisbane, according to the Cairns Post.

Moments earlier, Kassis had been showing a woman at the meeting an explicit video, the court heard.

A year later he was caught harassing a staff member at an art gallery in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

He asked the woman if she wanted to watch home-made pornography, took her business card and repeatedly sent her messages.

Kassis was later arrested after he brought traffic to standstill as he tried to dig up a Queensland road in December 2019.

He began to abuse officers, and told one female cop to ‘go back to your brothel and f*** the entire football team’.

Kassis was also arrested outside Parramatta Park State School six days after abusing the female office when he again tried to dig up the road.

He told the court he wanted to go back to Sydney, where he claimed he lived on the street collecting metal and nails.

Kassis said he would complain to the Human Rights Commission over his treatment.

He was handed a 12-month good behaviour bond.
