A person is fighting for their life in hospital after they were struck by lighting in a suburban street during wild storms.
Queensland Ambulance were called to a street at Brendale in Brisbane’s north after a person was hit by lighting around 2:30pm on Sunday.
The person was treated by paramedics at the scene before they were rushed to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
Queensland’s south-east is set for more severe thunderstorms for the remainder of Sunday afternoon.
It’s expected to bring a number of lighting strikes along with heavy rainfall and damaging winds.
