Fans of the Queer Eye reboot on Netflix have taken to Twitter in their droves to celebrate, after Tom from episode one revealed his romance with ex-wife, Abby is back on.
In the episode, Tom Jackson, 57, from Dallas, Georgia, detailed how he’d let the love of his life slip through his fingers before telling the Fab Five, ‘you can’t fix ugly’ as they embarked on his makeover.
Living in his daughter’s basement in a self-contained apartment, pre-transformation, Tom spent his days smoking and drinking ‘redneck margaritas’, and didn’t have much of a social life, only meeting up with friends once a week to look at vintage cars.

However, viewers fell in love with Tom as he learnt to embrace beard oil and cover up his red patches with green tinted concealer courtesy of Jonathan Van Ness, and make healthy guacamole to satisfy his Mexican food habit with Antoni Porowski.
They also willed him and Abby back together at the end of the episode, after he showed her around his newly decorated apartment courtesy of Bobby Berk in his snazzy new outfit, hand-selected by the show’s style guru Tan France.
Culture expert Karamo Brown helped Tom work on his confidence and self-esteem issues.
However, on February 28, it seemed like Tom and Abby had finally decided to call it quits for good, after Tom tweeted: ‘I just watched my episode for about the 20th time. I cry like a baby ever time I watch it. Just to let the world know, Abby and I are no longer together. She will always be the love of my life. I will always love her more than anything!!!!!!!’
However, keeping his fan’s abreast of his roller coaster of a relationship, Tom took to Twitter, where he now has over 11,000 followers, once again to share the happy news that he and Abby had reunited.
Posting a selfie of the two of them, Tom wrote: ‘So happy to say that Abby and I are reunited. We’ve loved each other for many years and want to spend the rest of our lives together!!!!!!!!’

And despite only featuring in one episode, Queer Eye fans are still heavily invested in Tom’s life, flocking to the comments section to congratulate him.
Even actress Busy Philipps chimed in, retweeting Tom’s post and writing, ‘This is great!’ along with several heart and crying-face emoji.
Meanwhile, another Twitter user @reallyriela wrote: ‘They’re the cutest sweetest couple. Can’t wait for them to have lil romantic dates on the patio.’
