Rabbit escapes the jaws of cat only to be swooped up by a cunning owl 

You never know how good something is until you lose it. 

And in an action-packed video posted on May 22, a cat can be seen trying enjoy his prized catch in Brush Prairie, Washington.

The small rabbit waits next to the cat for its eventual demise and appears to be motionless until the cat grabs it in its mouth. 

Walking back to the porch, something distracts the cat, causing it to drop the small critter.

The rabbit immediately darts off in an effort to escape and manages to make it to the lawn, in an almost bid of freedom. 

But just as it attempts to flee, a cunning owl comes in for the swoop and steals the rabbit from the cat.

The owl flies off with its steal and leaves the cat stranded on the lawn, without a furry treat. 

The video ends with the camera person zooming into the cat as it sits in its disappointment.
