Dress codes at Goodwood vary depending on the enclosure; Richmond is its most stylish and exclusive, so female guests are advised to wear floaty dresses or an elegant top and trouser or skirt combination.
Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket accompanied by a tie, cravat or polo-neck sweater.
Meanwhile, organisers also recommend avoiding stiletto heels as the uneven ground can be a challenge to walk on.
The Gordon Enclosure is little less formal while the Lennox Enclosure, popular among families, has no strict dress code, though many racegoers do still like to dress up.
