Rachael Finch hits back at critic over outdated fashion choice: ‘Embarrassing’

Rachael Finch has yet again been slammed by her long-time friend Ash Pollard for her outdated fashion choices. 

The former Miss Universe runner-up, 36, was forced to defend herself on Thursday as she attended a photo shoot with her pal.

Sharing a video of the friends to Instagram, Rachael revealed Ash turned her nose up at the model’s very tight skinny jeans, saying they were no longer fashionable. 

‘I’ve been told by Ash Pollard that these skinny leg jeans are out,’ Rachael laughed as she showed off her slim pins in the skintight blue denim.

‘And these are in,’ Ash, 39, said as she stepped into frame and showed off her wide-legged, loose fit jeans.

‘That is so embarrassing. I’ve had these for about eight or nine years now,’ Rachael said.

Skinny jeans have a long history of being in trend after they first shot to popularity in the 1950s.

However, their popularity peaked in the 2010s and have slowly faded out in recent years as more comfortable, wide-legged jeans became trendy.

But the tide appears to have changed in 2025, with many young influencers declaring the 2010s staple is back in vogue.

It’s the second time this week Rachael’s fashion choices have been put on blast by her bestie.

Rachael took to Instagram on Wednesday to defend her choice of shoes, which Ash also publicly disapproved of.

In a clip posted on her story, Rachael could be seen walking through her office in a pair of animal-print ballet flats adorned with large buckle straps.

‘Sorry @ashpollard_ got the leopard vans out today,’ she captioned the post.

My Kitchen Rules alum Ash then took to her socials to slam the footwear, as well as Rachael’s decision to wear socks with the shoes.

‘None of this is okay. Especially the BLACK socks!! Da f***,’ she hilariously wrote over a snap of the shoes, while tagging Rachael.

The mum-of-two responded in retaliation: ‘Love my comfy shoes and my non-smelly feet LOL.’

Rachael and Ash have been longtime friends, with the pair meeting back in 2015 at a PR luncheon at Flemington Racecourse.

Since then, they have enjoyed getaways together and featured heavily on each other’s Instagram pages.
