Rachael, who is the brand ambassador for Neutrogena, says she prefers a simple approach to skincare.

‘Shooting long days on set can wreak havoc on my skin, so I need products that are going to benefit me throughout day, and help my skin rest afterwards,’ Rachael told FEMAIL.
‘They also need to be super simple to use so I can get in and out the door as soon as possible.’
Regardless of her schedule, Rachael makes sure to cleanse every morning before applying an SPF moisturiser under her make up and SPF 50+ moisturiser over the top.
‘This is a nonnegotiable for me these days, I’m quite fair.’ she said.

‘I wear a lot of make up for my job so I have to take my make up off properly or else it really starts impacting my skin health,’ she explained
In the evenings, Rachael is sure to remove all of her make up without fail.

Rachael, who stars in The Defenders, said she needs to be careful of her skin when travelling as it can get dehydrated quickly.
‘I love travelling for work, but the worst part is how dry and dehydrated my skin becomes at the end of the day. Hyaluronic acid has been my saviour when on the go, I just love it,’ she said.

‘I try not to drink too much coffee when I’m flying a lot. Plus upping my intake of fruits and veggies so I’m packing myself full of nutrients as well,’ she said
‘I use the Neutrogena Hydro Boost range, which contain hyaluronic acid, and I notice my skin isn’t as irritated and flaky at the end of the day. That and hydration.

All about the natural approach, Rachael said she will leave the crazy beauty fads like the vampire facial to everybody else.
‘I’m probably on the other end of the scale and go more toward plant based or organic treatments,’ she said.
‘I love facials filled with botanicals and natural products. The Vampire facials of the world look a little too extreme for me!’
‘I never deprive myself of anything but rather focus on how great I feel by adding things in – like more veggies, or more fruit or walks in the park,’ she said (pictured during a boxing session)
When it comes to her luscious locks, Rachael also applies the ‘less is more’ mantra.
I never deprive myself of anything but rather focus on how great I feel by adding things in.
‘I sound like a total hippie but I alternate between avocado oil as a mask and then a super luxe treatment every now and again – the Christopher Robin prickly pear mask,’ Rachael said.
‘It’s a splurge but I put my hair through a lot at work.’
When it comes to her diet and fitness, Rachael is all about balance rather than anything too extreme.
‘I really operate on the principle that balance is key,’ Rachael said.

‘Being kind to yourself and allowing your body rest when your busy is number one.
‘For me, I recognise that I feel more mental clarity when I do exercise so I alternate between heavy workouts like boxing or martial arts based training, and more low intensity stuff like yoga or swimming.
‘But if I’m choosing between training and sleep – I choose sleep. I believe quality sleep is the most important thing I can do for my health.’
