The Marvelous Mrs Maisel star, 31, opted for an elegant peach satin gown with a dramatic puffed skirt as she posed up a storm at the star-studded event.

amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, makes a return to its spectacular live events programme this evening. 

The amfAR gala is one of the world’s most successful benefit events and the most coveted ticket in town during the Cannes Film Festival. 

Alicia Keys headlines the evening which includes an exclusive dinner, auction, multiple performances and a fashion show curated by Carine Roitfeld. 

Rachel rose to fame playing the house-wife-turned-comedian Mrs ‘Midge’ Maisel in the hit Amazon Prime series.

The actress is reprising her role as the titular fictional 1950s New York housewife in the series while co-star Luke Kirby plays legendary real-life comic Lenny Bruce.

The show made its debut on the streaming service in 2017 and is one of its most lauded programmes. 

The show follows Midge Maisel who discovers that she has a talent for standup comedy and begins to pursue a career in the field, which affects her personal life in turn.  

Series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino based the titular character on various female comedians, as well as her own father, who performed as a comedian in her youth.

In 2018, Rachel won the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series award at that year’s Primetime Emmys, with Alex being given the distinction for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
