Radha Mitchell reveals she hasn’t watched Take My Hand co-star Adam Demos’ steamy Sex/Life nude scene

Australian actress Radha Mitchell has admitted that she hasn’t seen co-star Adam Demos’ notorious nude scene in the hit Netflix series Sex/Life.

Mitchell, 50, who is set to star with Demos, 39, in the soon-to-be-released Take My Hand told Stellar that she prefers to focus on the hunky actor’s ‘star quality’.

‘I haven’t seen it, to be honest,’ she told the publication.

‘But that [notoriety] certainly helps the romance aspect of this story. I think he fulfils all those fantasies. But I don’t want to trivialise him as an actor because he’s very grounded and talented.’

‘He has a real star quality to him.’

Demos became an overnight sensation thanks to a steamy full-frontal Sex/Life scene that saw the actor bare himself in the shower.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph in 2023 about the scene, Demos said that he was surprised it became such a viral moment.

‘When you’re shooting these things you don’t think they’re going to be a viral moment,’ he told the publication.

The large appendage raised the suspicions of fans with many of them saying it must be a prosthetic – speculation which turned out to be correct.

‘I don’t even think TikTok was around or that popular, he continued.

‘Then it becomes its own thing and everyone now knows it’s a prosthetic. I think that was part of the intrigue.’

Mitchell also opened up to Stellar about working with controversial director Woody Allen on the 2004 film Melinda and Melinda.

‘I knew he was dating his stepdaughter [now wife Soon-Yi Previn], and that was controversial,’ she explained.

‘But as for the rest of it, my only perspective at that time was just the films that he made. So then it’s like, do you want to separate the artist from the behaviour?

Take My Hand tells the story of young married Australian woman Laura, played by Radha, who has a successful banking career in London.

But her world is turned upside down when she is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

The man she thought had loved her ‘showed his true colours’ as her condition had been identified.

After returning to Australia, she is reunited with a past acquaintance Michael who had loved her since their high school days.

Their rekindled friendship turns more serious and they find themselves falling in love.

Take My Hand is the true story of writer and director John Raftopolous’ romantic relationship with an old acquaintance.

John has co-written the screenplay with Dave Petersen who both detailed the former’s love affair with Claire Jensz.

However, their names have been changed to Laura and Michael for the film’s storyline.
