Radio star Bianca Dye reveals the struggle of dating as a single woman in her 50s after hoping for a baby in her 40s: ‘I felt like such a failure’

Bianca Dye has shared how dating now that she is 50 and single is harder than ever.

The Sea FM radio host and media personality says she feels ‘vulnerable’ meeting men even though she seeks companionship.

‘I probably shouldn’t be dating at the moment. My headspace jumps from “I’m so excited to share my life with someone special,” to “I’m a perimenopausal, moody, bloated hot mess right now”‘ she tells Stellar’s Something to Talk About podcast.

Bianca explained that she recently lined up a hot date only to cancel at the last minute.

‘I panicked. I pulled the pin. I felt like such a failure’ she said, before adding that she left the man a seven minute long voice mail message explaining her cancelation.

To her surprise, the man was impressed ‘hearing how genuine I was and how vulnerable I sounded’ she said.

However, it didn’t work out between the pair, with Bianca admitting, ‘Alas, I’m still single’.

The television personality was previously in a long-term relationship with businessman Jay Sandter, but the pair have since split.

At the time Bianca described her then-partner Jay and his ten-year-old daughter Madi as her family.
