A 24-year-old man had his ear bitten in a row on a train.

A friend of the victim was talking loudly on the phone when an argument with another passenger broke out on the Southern Railway train from London Bridge to Peckham Rye.

The man suffered a deep cut to his ear and required hospital treatment following the attack at around 11.40pm on October 6.

The attacker complained about the loud conversation which lead to an argument during which the attacker leaned over and bit the passenger’s ear. 

He ‘eventually stopped biting the victim’s ear’ and returned to his seat, a BTP spokesman said.
