The mood was subdued, but the dress code was undeniably elegant as the 80th annual Film Festival continued in northern Italy on Wednesday evening.

After a week of largely underwhelming red carpets, the result of Hollywood’s solidarity with ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes, it was the turn of biographical drama Origin to premiere at the city’s Lido.

Making an early arrival on Wednesday, Bar Refaeli claimed her fair share of the spotlight in a sweeping silk evening gown ahead of its first official screening.

The Israeli model, 38, accentuated her slender physique in the form-fitting dress, with an off-the-shoulder detail and plunging chest drawing further attention to her exposed cleavage.

Refaeli was in attendance as the Ava DuVernay directed film, based on the 2020 book Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents, by Isabel Wilkerson, screened in-competition at the annual ceremony.
