- The ex-wife of Ralf Schumacher has accused him of lying in a TV interview
- Ralf previously received swathes of support after coming out as gay in July
- Cora Schumacher has been locked in an ongoing feud with her ex-husband
The feud between Ralf Schumacher and his ex-wife has taken a new turn after the brother of Formula One legend Michael Schumacher was accused of lying in a television interview having previously come out as gay.
Former Williams driver, Ralf, announced he was in love with his French business manager Etienne Bousquet-Cassagne in July.
In the immediate aftermath of the announcement, Schumacher, 49, received a torrent of positive messages, including from his close friend German actress Carmen Geiss.
However, the news ignited a war of words between Schumacher and his former wife, Cora, who has now accused him of lying in a television interview where he claimed she had blocked his number and social media profiles.
Cora Schumacher is now seeking further clarification on her ex-husband’s claim and has instructed her legal team to send a letter to Ralf’s lawyers stating that the allegation is false, as reported by BILD.

Cora’s (pictured) legal team have now reportedly sent a letter to Ralf’s lawyers accusing him of lying during a television interview
According to BILD, the legal document sent by Cora’s team states: ‘You (Ralf Schumacher, editor’s note) claim that you wanted to clarify the matter with our client, and even more: that you tried to do so.
‘An attempt that failed (unilaterally) because our client ‘blocked’ you on her social media accounts and on her cell phone. This is untrue in several respects.’
The report further alleges that Cora has only blocked Ralf on Whatsapp and can still be reached by her ex-husband via phone call or text message.
The legal letter continues: ‘You (Ralf Schumacher) are very familiar with our client’s telephone numbers and email addresses. The same goes for your Étienne (his partner), who even called our client after you came out together.’
It has also been suggested that Cora would be willing to have a phone conversation with Ralf to put an end to the ugly war of words that has broken out since his revelation.

The pair had previously been married for 14 years prior to their split in 2005
Cora previously hit back at the former F1 driver amid their ongoing row after she claiming she ‘wasted her best years’ on him after he came out as gay.
The pair had previously been married for 14 years and had a son David together prior to their split in 2015.
Initially reacting to the news, Cora had insisted she ‘felt used’ by Ralf who later responded by leaking WhatsApp messages that showed her congratulating Etienne on their union.
There were also fears from inside the Schumacher camp that Cora could reveal the top-secret state of Ralf’s brother, Michael’s, health as the seven-time F1 legend continues to be cared for following a life-changing ski accident.
